Why is my cat straining to pee in the litter box?
Your cat may be suffering from blocked pipes, causing them to pass very little urine, sometimes mixed with blood. They will often meow in distress, act confused, and repeatedly jump in and out of the box trying to find a comfortable place to relieve themselves. Because cats go downhill very quickly with this condition, it requires an immediate trip to the emergency vet.
