Baby won't stop screeching all day

The constant screeching from morning until night leaves parents exhausted, overstimulated, and battling headaches. This relentless noise makes it impossible to sleep or catch a break, driving some to wear headphones just to get through the day.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
wearing headphones to block out the noise
  2. 2
yelling at the same volume to make it a game
  3. 3
teaching the baby sign language to communicate
  4. 4
ignoring the noise until the phase passes
  5. 5
Teaching and practicing "quiet screeching" to give them a volume alternative.
  6. 6
Wearing ear plugs to manage sensory overload.
  7. 7
Giving the baby a pacifier to force a physical break from the noise.
