Did I ruin my lawn by dethatching too deep?
Aggressive dethatching cuts too deep into the turf and strips away the grass, leaving the lawn looking atrocious and making people worry they have permanently destroyed their yard. This damage usually happens when dethatching blades are set too low, scraping the lawn down to bare dirt.
