Pushed CV axle in while changing brake rotors
Using a gear puller or heavy hammer to remove a rusted brake rotor can accidentally push the CV axle inward through the wheel hub or separate its inner joint. This halts the repair job, risks spilling transmission fluid, and often forces a costly axle replacement.
