Said It Here

Why is it impossible to keep up with everything on my plate?

Constant administrative demands, changing rules, and an endless stream of tasks make it impossible to stay caught up, leading to physical exhaustion and dropped responsibilities. When daily interruptions and endless tracking dominate the schedule, there is no time left for meaningful work or basic recovery.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Prioritizing tasks using a triage system based on urgency
  2. 2
Delegating, combining, or automating tasks to build scalable workflows
  3. 3
Guarding personal time to prevent burnout
  4. 4
asking people for help or advice
  5. 5
    reworking canned curriculum at night

Larger classroom sizes, more adherence to whatever school/district state mandates are out. Emails. Grading. Planning. Ya, there's no way to keep up. As soon as I catch up, I'm behind again the next day.source ↗
