Why did page load times suddenly spike to 20+ seconds?

Page load times can suddenly jump from a normal 6-7 second average to 23-25 seconds, severely tanking mobile Lighthouse and PageSpeed scores. This abrupt slowdown ruins overall site performance and leaves pages taking far too long to render.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    enabling caching and CDN plugins
  2. 2
    optimizing images and web fonts
  3. 3
removing unnecessary visual effects and heavy scripts
  4. 4
    Upgrading versions like 26.2
  5. 5
Using APM, screen recordings, and .har files to gather data on different records
  6. 6
    Raising a support case
