Why is my furnace inducer motor seized and hot?
A seized furnace inducer motor prevents the system from starting while feeling hot to the touch. It can also emit a loud, high-pitched noise as it struggles to run.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Taking screws out to remove the housing and try spinning the blades manually
- 2Replacing the entire inducer motor assembly
- 3adding turbine oil to the bearings of the inducer motor

“Does the inducer noise sound normal to you? The high pitchy is quite noisy to me.”source ↗
