Why won't my hedge grow to the same height?
Certain hedge plants stall out after a couple of years and fail to reach the height of the rest of the planting, leaving bare spots that persist despite aeration, composting, and weeks of waiting.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Guessing potential causes like too much water from a neighbor's sprinklers or excess wetness
- 2Checking beginner guides and adjusting watering frequency to multiple short cycles a day
- 3Checking seed type and considering if weed preventer in products stopped germination
