Said It Here

Why does the kitchen sink splash water everywhere?

Washing dishes causes water to splash all over the counter and floor while soaking the front of your shirt when leaning in, which leaves behind stagnant puddles on the countertops.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    swapping the faucet aerator
  2. 2
reduce the flow with the valves under the sink
  3. 3
    buy a new deeper sink
  4. 4
Buying a corner drying mat or tray
  5. 5
Installing hand towel holders on walls or doors
  6. 6
Using countertop towel hangers or baskets of folded hand towels
  7. 7
Wiping the counter down with the hand towel after use

“I could try that, not really sure where it would go. Maybe I can mount one to the left there. But that doesn’t solve the stagnant pool problem (same problem w kitchen counter tops in this rental)”source ↗
