Why is my brand new kitchen sink draining so slowly?
New kitchen sinks often drain very slowly even when the pipes are completely clear of physical clogs. This sluggish drainage prevents normal use and leaves standing water in the basin, persisting despite plumbers dismissing the issue as normal operation.

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Calling a professional plumber
- 2Contacting the home builder to claim warranty repairs
- 3Checking for missing vent caps or test balls left in the plumbing system
- 4Inspecting under the sink for missing p-traps or venting issues
- 5Using an accordion pipe as a temporary fix
- 6Using a drain snake past the wall
- 7modifying the rubber flange on the garbage disposal
- 8checking the slope of the pipe or trap
- 9adding an automatic air vent
- 10Checking if the cold water supply valve is fully open
- 11Toggling the water supply valves off and on
- 12Watching YouTube tutorial videos on faucet components
