Why am I losing my patience and snapping at my kids?

Stress and the constant buildup of daily messes make it hard to stay easygoing, leading to frequent snapping and feelings of guilt. This causes parents to lose their patience and feel like they are no longer the chill person they used to be.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    trying to actively calm down
  2. 2
    venting frustrations online
  3. 3
    taking a mental health day
  4. 4
dropping fancy station rotations and going back to lecturing
