How to hit reseller revenue quotas before getting clients

Joining partner programs before securing a solid client base creates intense stress to meet trailing minimum revenue requirements just to avoid deauthorization. Failing to hit these quotas results in partner termination and forces clients to migrate to a new reseller within a tight window.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Licensing a dev/test tenant through distributors
  2. 2
Converting direct Microsoft customers to CSP
  3. 3
Waiting the 12 months to reapply after gaining enough clients

Signed up for Microsoft's Indirect CSP Reseller program way too early, now scrambling to hit the $1k TTM revenue requirement.source ↗

deauthorised same reason my handful of clients got an email (well i did as I’m the tenant contact) that they have to move to a new reseller as the partner you are working with is no longer a reseller yada yada, you have 90 days to move or licenses are invalid… sigh.source ↗
