Why is the description option missing when creating automated rules?
Specific filtering criteria like description have disappeared from the rule creation interface, making it impossible to build new rules using that text. Even when a rule can be saved via bank text, testing it returns zero results, forcing users to deal with unwanted tickets and empty descriptions.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Save rules using bank text instead of description
- 2Save the rule first using alternative options, then go back to edit the rule to find description
- 3Use test rule features to see if rules apply to the bank feed despite interface omissions
- 4Trying to use the ticket description field to trigger workflows based on specific text
