Why do you have to pay thousands to remove team members?

Basic account management features like adding and removing company members are often locked behind expensive enterprise tiers costing thousands of dollars a year. This forces teams to pay exorbitant subscription costs just to perform routine administrative tasks.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Open up a help ticket and work through online support to get team members removed.
  2. 2
Use alternative platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed for recruitment.
  3. 3
Hiring a bookkeeper to keep CPA fees lower and only have the CPA produce tax returns.

To easily remove people from our company profile you have to upgrade to a "Pro" account for which they want $4500 a year.source ↗

It is absolutely ridiculous to lock such a basic function, adding and removing people, behind a $4500/year subscription cost.source ↗

A CPA charges an extraordinarily high fee and a bookkeeper doesn't.source ↗
