Why is my puppy suddenly crying and refusing to sleep in their crate?

A sudden regression in crate training leaves puppies waking up and crying within an hour without being able to self-settle, even when their routine has not changed. This abrupt disruption prevents puppies from getting the vital sleep they need for development and leaves owners severely sleep-deprived.
