Why sales reps refuse to use call recording

Sales reps often hate being recorded at first, which can cause them to stop using the tool after a few weeks and defeat the entire point of the program. While some reps eventually stop caring after a short adjustment period, initial resistance threatens consistent adoption.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
making recording part of the routine until pushback drops
  2. 2
waiting for reps to see that coaching helps them close more deals

if reps hate recording or stop using it after a few weeks then it kind of defeats the pointsource ↗
