Why is it so hard to set a realistic wedding budget?

Most venues that fit within a reasonable financial expectation come with major flaws, while looking at extremely expensive options makes the process disheartening. This leaves couples stressed about the scale of the celebration, struggling to lock down a date, venue, or solid plan.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Looking into venues besides hotels to rent for multiple days for self-setup and decor
  2. 2
Considering hiring individual vendors separately instead of all-inclusive venue packages
  3. 3
listing pros and cons of different wedding styles
  4. 4
considering alternative options like eloping, a backyard wedding, a destination wedding, or a courthouse ceremony
