Why is the 2026.1 software update so slow?

The recent 2026.1 update introduced severe performance bottlenecks that cause routines, sales order lookups, and saved searches to take up to 30 seconds or time out entirely. These system-wide slowdowns and script lockups prevent teams from completing basic daily tasks efficiently, leaving users stranded with broken workflows.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    Filing support tickets with vendor
  2. 2
Checking Application Performance Management (APM) dashboards to inspect server time
  3. 3
Disabling user event scripts and workflows in a sandbox environment to test performance
  4. 4
Modifying saved search criteria or removing joined fields and formula columns
  5. 5
Changing dashboard reminders to scheduled emails

We had to file a defect on routines that ran fine prior to 2026.1 but have failed or got locked up for hours (MR script)source ↗

We noticed in one of our sandboxes after it was upgraded to 2026.1 that saved searches with certain criteria were suddenly either really slow or timing out.source ↗
