How to block specific channels on the YouTube app
Parents want to let their kids use the iOS YouTube app by allowing only approved channels or blocking keyword searches, but standard management tools like Intune cannot do this. Because there is no simple way to filter out unwanted content, parents are left constantly arguing with their kids about specific shows.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Arguing with children about what they watch
- 2Using Netflix which makes it easy
- 3Using Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions with granular content filtering capabilities.
- 4Applying keyword and channel blocks through third-party device control profiles.
