Why does my manual car keep rolling down hills in gear?
Manual transmission cars can slip and slowly roll downhill when parked on steep slopes, even when left completely in first gear or with the handbrake pulled all the way up. This intermittent creeping happens in intervals and prevents drivers from securely parking without also utilizing reverse gear to lock the transmission.
