Why is team member availability and production always a guess?
Team members' actual availability and production remain unknown, which hampers the rest of the team's workflow. Employees who claim they can only work specific days often continue requesting time off until they are only available one day a week.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Picking up slack or working extra time
- 2Taking issues up with management or HR
- 3overstaffing the restaurant to compensate for gaps
- 4terminating employees after a set number of call-outs
- 5letting unreliable employees go and hiring replacements
