How fast do you need to reply to customer reviews?

Small business owners struggle to know whether to answer same-day or batch reviews weekly because there is no clear rule for response speed. Without a set schedule, responding turns into an overwhelming chore that either gets delayed or rushed with generic answers.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    replying whenever time permits
  2. 2
    batching replies once a week
  3. 3
Not responding publicly to reviews due to finding it tacky, and instead communicating through direct messages when necessary.

What I don't have is a rule for how fast. I get to them when I get to them.source ↗

So for anyone who handles their own reviews: do you aim for same day, or do you sit down once a week and work through them?source ↗

Why or why not? Do you only respond to positive or the negatives ones, or both? Do you keep a professional or friendly tone? Help a newbie. 🙏source ↗
