How to manage users who don't have separate email addresses

Many systems now require unique individual emails for every login, which blocks administrators from setting up part-time staff who share distribution lists. This forces teams to either invent workaround accounts or abandon platforms that refuse to support shared access.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Using distribution lists instead of individual email addresses
  2. 2
Relying on SSO and My Domain to minimize support impact
  3. 3
clicking Login with Username on the login page
  4. 4
navigating directly to the username login screen by appending ?login=1 to your login URL

Anyone else have mostly users without email addresses? Most of our users are part-time so they are setup with a distribution list as their email address.source ↗
