Why is my API sync creating records with missing fields?
Integrations often successfully create a base record, like a contact or order, but silently fail to write specific properties or reference IDs if a custom field was recently renamed. Basic webhook setups miss these "half-write" errors, causing retry mechanisms to assume the sync was successful and leave the record incomplete for months.

Why is my API sync creating records with missing fields?
- 1Replaying the entire raw payload against an upsert endpoint instead of doing delta updates.Did this help you?
- 2Polling the property list from the portal on a schedule and diffing it against the mapping to catch schema changes early.Did this help you?
- 3Storing the raw payload in a buffer store to act as a single source of truth for retries.Did this help you?
- 4Placing the entire bundle in an error queue when a mapping fails rather than writing a half-populated record.Did this help you?
- 5Building a custom workaround to import the data via CSV instead of using the API.Did this help you?
- 6Disabling the conflicting internal script or feature (like 'available to build') if it is not actively being used.Did this help you?
