Said It Here

Why can't I talk to a real person on enterprise software support?

AI chatbots masquerading as human support agents trap paying users in endless loops of generic responses and hallucinations. This prevents customers dealing with critical bugs from getting real help, despite paying thousands of dollars a month for premium plans.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    Downgrading plans to save money
  2. 2
Hiring external partners or agencies to handle vendor communication
  3. 3
Using email support or direct phone numbers instead of live chat
  4. 4
Constantly asking for escalation or typing specific prompts

I swear when I requested to talk to a human it was totally an AI chatbot. It was hallucinating previous messages and quickly writing entire paragraph responses that were ignoring the root issue I raised which was a bug report.source ↗

My main concern is us shelling out $2300 a month for each brand on Shopify+ and whether or not they are being genuine with the “chat with a human” label.source ↗

I don't mind AI handling basic questions, but it's frustrating when you're trying to report an actual bug and it keeps looping through generic responses instead of understanding the issue.source ↗
