Said It Here

Why is my CRM so expensive and hard to customize?

Enterprise CRM platforms charge unreal price differences while imposing rigid limits on custom objects, cross-object reporting, and comprehensive data and workflow backups. These constraints prevent growing teams from properly scaling their setups or safeguarding critical system configurations without migrating to costly alternatives.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
using Excel spreadsheets instead of a complex CRM
  2. 2
performing manual deduplication audits before imports
  3. 3
running hybrid tech stacks combining different tools
  4. 4
    hiring specialized consultants or administrators
  5. 5
sticking with simple platforms that auto-import from the mls and provide basic follow-up reminders

there are all kinds of limitations, especially when you start dealing with custom objects and needing the ability to report across associated objectssource ↗

I have yet to find a good solution for doing a HubSpot backup that will allow me to back up all of my data and schema as well as the ability to back up all of our workflows and restore them.source ↗

man i went down this rabbit hole last year helping my cousin set up his stuff. problem is most crms try to do everything and end up doing nothing well. the ones that actually work for agents are the ones that dont make you fight the interface just to log a callsource ↗
