Why won't my 3 year old trick or treat?
Putting costumes, nighttime walks, and candy all together can overwhelm young children, making them react as if they are being dragged through a haunted house. Even if they were just happily wearing their outfit, they may suddenly cry, refuse to move past the driveway, and ask to go home. This prevents families from actually going door-to-door and leaves parents feeling sad that their child won't participate in the holiday.
